We are pleased to announce the newest addition to the EPI Partner Network: The Kelley Group (TKG), renowned as the leading coaching company for the financial services industry and has become the leading authority on COI Mastermind Groups and CEO’s in the professional services field.
While every person in an advisors’ network is significant to their business development, COIs are professionals who are well established in the community and understand the value of networking with other specialists from a variety of occupations, and with diverse expertise and experience. TKG has established a process that enables advisors to harness the relationships with COIs and turn them into profitable referral sources.
One of the major core values that CEPAs hold is collaboration and the importance of operating in teams. Effective team are not only critical to helping owners build value and execute a significant and fulfilling transition, but teams also promote referrals, acting as a key platform for business development amongst many advisors. Sarano Kelley adds “I see this as a big opportunity for CEPAs and advisors overall. Their practices operate at much less than full potential for this main reason: they do great things but in the wrong order.” Building great teams, especially after attending the CEPA program, is critical to the exit planning launch process internally at their firms.
Individual practitioners give their recommendations to COIs, but what these practitioners lack is the solid methodology, how to rapidly expand their network, or how to have equity in the referral process. Mr. Kelley has researched and tested his now proven approach to building a productive and profitable network of professionals and is eager to share this strategy with others. He has seen countless advisors struggle to do things in the right order when building their practice, which ultimately leads to them operating at much less than their full potential. His passion is coaching people who want to be at the top of their game and see the results that they are working towards.
Given Mr. Kelley’s passion and his teams significantly impactful process, EPI and TKG decided to partner together to offer CEPAs the opportunity to enter a coaching program that will increase their referral network an average of 500% and their actual referrals by nearly 800%. Through the program, each CEPA will be a part of a 14-person team in a highly interactive training session to help the CEPA reach influential COIs within their community. Attendees will be able to build proactive external marketing and the training will promote referrals directly to them.
Exit Planning Institute Vice President, Scott Snider, said “Sarano Kelley and his team are experts in this area and extremely inspirational and motivational. I am very excited to introduce our CEPA Community to him and his team.” Snider went on to add “having a strong center of influence and overall team is critical. In the CEPA credentialing program we focus on the creation of team but thereafter have always lacked a helpful and clear path to helping promote that collaboration and team building. Like many things, we just don’t hop right into it. Practice, coaching, guidance is needed. Through The Kelley Group, this platform can become a reality for CEPAs and get them to place they need to not only build a team but build a team that produces. Gives them a ROI together.”
TKG will soon be featured in Laurence Fishburne’s “Behind the Scenes” documentary which will broadcast on CNN, CNBC, and FOX Business and the Discovery Channel. “We always teach to our CEPAs that education is key. We need to begin to focus on becoming a thought leader and influencer. This will bring awareness to the importance of proper exit planning and value building” Snider remarked. The COI Mastermind Groups that EPI and the Kelley Group will build for CEPAs will become the new influencer marketing and undoubtedly build significant relationships that not only produce but educate and build awareness. Kelley concludes with “The Kelley Group is all about giving people a chance and a process. Its why we started the Kelley Group. With that chance and process we can develop great relationships and great teams.”
On August 18, Sarano Kelley, CEO of The Kelley Group, Creator of Mastermind Group for Advisers an INCCEOProject, will present “Mastermind Groups: Partnering w COI’s Focused on CEOs and Exit Planning.” Gain an understanding for the step-by-step process for finding and connecting with influential COIs and a proven strategy for building profitable COI relationships.

The future of the business owner, his/her family, and the business itself are addressed by exit planning through creating value today.
Exit planning is not just a plan (or a keyed-in report to print out for an owner). It is a strategy rooted in execution that grows value while expanding options so that an owner can transition the business on his/her terms when they are ready. It aligns the business, personal, and financial needs of the owner. Good exit planning utilizes the Value Acceleration Methodology™ to move clients through discovery, prepare, and decide gates.
