Don’t Let Dog Days Get You Down: Here’s How to Stay Involved in Chapter Events
by Kellie Nock on July 17, 2025

The Value of the EPI Chapter Network
The days are long and the sun is high in the sky. The dog days of summer have arrived, and with them, the kind of exhaustion that means a summer day well spent. Whether it’s an afternoon at the pool or a trip to the golf course, summer is the perfect time to rest, recharge, and come back stronger than ever.
Unfortunately, this kind of lazy summer haziness can make it harder to get back into the groove of things when autumn comes around. Exit Planning Institute® (EPI) aims to keep the groove going with its expansive Chapter Network. The EPI Chapter Network is comprised of groups of local advisors dedicated to changing outcomes for business owners and enhancing their exit planning education. As described on EPI’s website, the purpose of the Chapter Network is “to create a forum where the local community of professional advisors can collaborate to address the unique needs of their community. Chapters develop educational programs for business owners and professional advisors to build awareness and better prepare an owner for the successful exit of their business. Create, encourage, and foster the adoption of best practices for the exit planning profession and promote the common business interests of those business advisors engaged in the profession of exit planning.”
With 30 Chapters nationwide, the opportunity to connect has never been more perfect. So, where do we start?
Start Your Journey Today
Whether it’s the Greater New York area or all the way to San Diego, there are Chapters all across the United States, giving you ample opportunity to find the one nearest to you. Check out our full list of Chapters and find upcoming events that you can RSVP to.
As 2024 Excellence in Exit Planning Thought Leader of the Year Nominee Todd Yeiter puts it, Chapters are a great way to connect to the larger Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) community around you.
“When I received my CEPA, I was blown away on how big the opportunity is to help business owners plan for a thoughtful exit. I loved the thoughtful process and each step along the way, and I wanted to do it all immediately. My advice is to breathe. Start with what you know and leverage the broader CEPA community to do those things you do not yet have experience with,” Todd says in this blog. “The EPI Chapter events are amazingly helpful. Everyone is on your side, and nobody seems to want to disrupt existing relationships. The CEPA community supports one another, and it gives you an amazing opportunity to gain experience from the best and expand your services over time if that is what you choose to do.”
Get In Touch With Leadership
Each chapter is led by a dedicated leadership team that plays a vital role in setting a strong example within their respective communities. These leaders are not only well-versed in the core concepts of the Value Acceleration Methodology™, but they also excel at demonstrating how to effectively conceptualize and apply these principles in real-world scenarios. Their expertise and approach serve as a guiding framework for fellow advisors, inspiring confidence and fostering a culture of continuous learning and practical implementation.
Chapter leadership often works closely with EPI and helps create and contribute to resources like blogs and webinars. If you want to contact them directly, they have generously shared their contacts through our Chapter Network page, which you can view here.
So, don’t let the dog days of summer get you down. Instead, take this opportunity to connect with others who share your interests and goals. Find your nearest Chapter and discover how you can start building a stronger, more robust exit planning network today. By engaging with your local community, attending meetings, and sharing resources, you can enhance your knowledge, develop valuable relationships, and position yourself for significance.
