Get to Know the New Faces of EPI!

We are thrilled to introduce the newest members of our team at the Exit Planning Institute® (EPI). Meet Scott Derbin, Jacqueline Forsythe, Taylor Haydu, Maggie Hughes, Donovan Muller, Melissa Rabil, and Staci Spicel These talented individuals bring diverse skills, experiences, and passions to the exit planning community 

Meet the New Team Members

Scott Derbin: Sales Development Representative 2024_Headshot_Scott_Derbin

Scott joins us as a Sales Development Representative, inspired by the opportunity to join a growing business. "My journey is a little different from most," Scott shared, reflecting on his background in education, city work, and account management. Scott's ability to connect with people on their level has shaped his professional approach. He resonates deeply with EPI®'s focus on employee investment: "The focus and investment in each employee is something I have never been a part of before. It truly makes a difference in everyday workplace culture."  

A fun fact about Scott is that he's been to Cuba on vacation, and the highlight of his onboarding has been getting to know his new colleagues. He is excited about growing in his role with the company and looks forward to driving new potential business to the BDM team, leveraging his experience to make a meaningful impact. 

Jacqueline Forsythe: Product Development Assistant 2024_Headshot_Jacqueline_Forsythe

Jacqueline was inspired to join EPI by our core value of work-life balance. "Having worked the past six years in a demanding role in the fall protection industry, it became clear that one thing lacking in my life was balance," she explained. Jacqueline brings a wealth of experience, having handled everything from estimating and customer service to project management and marketing. She resonates with EPI’s values of “Collaboration” and “Life Balance”, finding support and rejuvenation critical to her productivity. "Collaboration is key because it allows you to come together as a team to work towards a common goal," she noted.  

Jacqueline is a Disney enthusiast who visits Disney World at least twice a year. The highlight of her onboarding has been participating in the CEPA 4.0 recordings. She looks forward to bringing a fresh perspective to product development and making a lasting impact at EPI. 

Taylor Haydu: Social Media Coordinator 

2024_Headshot_Taylor_HayduTaylor joins us as a Social Media Coordinator, driven by her lifelong passion for social media. "Ever since I was young, I was captivated by the power of platforms like Instagram, where I spent countless hours exploring, connecting, and creating," she shared. With a Bachelor’s in Public Relations and a minor in Media Advocacy from Kent State University, Taylor has honed her skills through various roles, including internships and content creation for notable brands. She resonates with EPI's core value of "Make It Count," aligning with her dedication to work. Taylor plans to enhance EPI's online presence and community engagement through her expertise in social media.  

A fun fact about Taylor is her participation in the National American Miss pageant system and her role as Vice President of the Chi Omega sorority. Her onboarding highlight has been the support from the team and taking the Birkman Personality Test. "Looking ahead, I am most excited about the opportunity to dive deep into our social media strategy and contribute to innovative campaigns," she said. 

Maggie Hughes: Content Strategist

"I wanted to pursue this role because I wanted to continue to grow and develop in my marketing career and EPI presented the perfect opportunity to do so," she explained. With a degree in Marketing from Cleveland State University, Maggie brings experience as an SEO Strategist and Lead, including managing a company’s donation program. She resonates most with EPI's value of “Life Balance”, appreciating the trust and support within the team. Maggie aims to create high-quality, educational, and entertaining content, positioning EPI as the authority in exit planning.  

Maggie enjoys playing catcher in a rec softball league and hobbies like crocheting and baking. The highlight of her onboarding was presenting her content plan to management and receiving approval, reflecting the team's appreciation for her input. Maggie looks forward to becoming a part of the EPI community and contributing to its success. 

Donovan Muller: Marketing Assistant 

2024_Headshot_Donovan_MullerDonovan joins us as a Marketing Assistant, appreciating the genuine interest in his background during the interview process. "During the interview process, it always felt like they wanted to genuinely get to know who I was," he noted. A recent graduate from Baldwin Wallace University with a degree in Marketing, Donovan has experience as a Digital Marketing Intern and a passion for exploring all aspects of marketing. He resonates with EPI’s core value of "Put it on the Table," believing in transparency and collective insight. Donovan aims to excel in his role by quickly and effectively tackling various tasks.  

An interesting fact about Donovan is his collection of 15 tattoos, with plans for more. His onboarding highlight was securing a venue for the Marketing Strategy Workshop Days at a significantly reduced cost. "How? I have no clue, but that was a big achievement on my part and a great way to start the job!" Donovan is excited to see EPI's growth and contribute to its rise.

Melissa Rabil: Marketing Coordinator 

2024_Headshot_Melissa_RabilMelissa joins EPI as a Marketing Coordinator, bringing her passion for marketing and extensive experience in creating data-driven content strategies. "I'm passionate about marketing and thrilled to be part of the team at EPI. Even in my short time here, I’ve been impressed by how close-knit and supportive everyone is," she shares. Melissa has honed her skills in analyzing market trends, managing campaigns, and optimizing digital content as a former Marketing Specialist. She values integrity and plans to introduce innovative approaches to EPI's Webinar/Think Tank series, focusing on boosting efficiency and results. 

A coffee enthusiast, Melissa enjoys exploring different stores, brewing methods, and flavors, and is currently building a collection of coffee beans from around the world. "The highlight of my onboarding has been getting to know the team and feeling so welcomed. Building strong relationships and seeing how everyone collaborates has been incredibly valuable," she notes, reflecting on her positive start at EPI. She is eager to make meaningful contributions and drive the team's growth through her collaborative efforts.  

Staci Spicel: Sales Administrative Assistant 

2024_Headshot_Staci_SpicelReflecting on her first visit, Staci was inspired to join EPI by the energetic and collaborative environment she encountered. "It was very apparent that everyone worked in a very energetic way, with one goal in mind, and they collaborated in a unique way to ensure the goal was reached," she recalls. With a strong background in administrative and customer service work, Staci managed various administrative duties at her previous job for nearly nine years. She resonates most with EPI's core value of “Make It Count” and believes that every action and decision can make a lasting impact. Staci aims to support the Sales and Account Management team by handling administrative tasks, allowing them to focus on customer needs and enhancing their experience with EPI. 

An avid reader, Staci enjoys suspense thrillers and is expanding her interests to memoirs and non-fiction. She also loves spending time with her family, exploring new places and cultures. The highlight of her onboarding has been "The overall welcoming atmosphere of everyone I work," she notes, was the highlight of her onboarding experience. Staci looks forward to growing in her role, deepening her understanding of CEPA, and contributing to the company's success.
