Plan Your Trip to Nashville for the 2026 Exit Planning Summit
by Rob DiFranco on January 5, 2026

The 2026 Exit Planning Summit is heading to Nashville for the first time, and the attendees who plan their trip now will have their pick of the best workshops, make the most of their stay at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, and still find time to enjoy the Music City.
Scrambling for last‑minute flights, sold‑out room blocks, and sky‑high prices is no way to kick off your Exit Planning Summit experience, especially when a little planning now can turn Nashville into your most productive and enjoyable trip of the year.
Booking your Travel
Locking in your room at the Gaylord before our room block closes will keep you close to the action at the 2026 Exit Planning Summit. If you book your room at the Gaylord before March 27, you’ll secure a spot in our room block at a discounted rate. Locking down your travel now will not only save you a headache as the Exit Planning Summit draws closer, but it’ll also save you money that you can invest in workshops during the event.

Getting to the Gaylord
After you’ve nailed down your room in our room block at the Gaylord, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with where you’ll be flying into. Picking the right flight will give you time to settle into your room at the Gaylord and help you show up ready and rested, instead of racing from the gate to registration.
The Exit Planning Institute® (EPI) recommends that attendees book their flights to the Nashville International Airport (BNA). Several major airports across the country offer direct flights into BNA, including Atlanta, Chicago (ORD and MDW), Dallas, Los Angeles, New York (LGA and JFK), and Orlando.
Getting from BNA to the Gaylord is a breeze, as the resort is just nine miles away from the airport and a 15-minute drive depending on the traffic.
There is also a shuttle service offered by Nashrovers that transports attendees directly from BNA to the Gaylord Opryland, operating on a regular schedule.
Know Before You Go
If you’ve already booked your registration and travel to the Exit Planning Summit, you’re probably already familiar with the learning and networking opportunities available. But after you’ve taken care of your trip, it's the perfect time to plan out what you want to experience during your time at the Exit Planning Summit.
The 2026 Exit Planning Summit offers Certified Exit Planning Advisors (CEPA®) an environment to learn, not only from our faculty and other experts in the exit planning community, but also from other CEPAs. Take advantage of our several networking events, including the Exit Planning Summit Welcome Social and Sunrise Table Talks, to get the most out of your experience in Nashville.
In addition to these several new offerings are returning favorites, Mastering the Triggering Event with EPI CEO Christopher Snider, and Advanced Tax Planning, led by EPI Thought Leadership Council Member Joe Strazzeri, Esq., CEPA. Be sure to book your spot in any one of our workshops as early as possible, as spots will fill up quickly in the lead-up to the event.
Things to do at the Gaylord
After you’ve settled into your room at the Gaylord, if you have the time, take some time to explore the resort. One of six Gaylord Hotel & Resorts in the United States, the Gaylord Opryland is a sprawling resort offering numerous amenities and activities within its grounds.
If you’re a golfer, check out the Gaylord Springs Golf Links, a par-72, Larry Nelson design, located at the Gaylord Opryland.
To unwind after a long day of travel or networking at the Exit Planning Summit, the Gaylord offers a spa and salon, as well as several dining options, including Mexican, Italian, a steakhouse, a sports bar, and more.
Explore Nashville
If you plan on extending your stay past the Exit Planning Summit, or if you’ve got some free time in between networking, take some time to be a tourist. Nashville has plenty of sights to see and things to do,.
Within driving distance of the resort are the historic Broadway district, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and riverboat rides down the Cumberland River. Also located just outside of downtown Nashville, and directly next to the Gaylord, is the Grand Ole Opry. This iconic live music venue will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026, with weekly “Opry 100” shows featuring new country music artists at every performance.
The Grand Ole Opry has one of its “Opry 100” events running the day before the first day of the 2026 Exit Planning Summit on April 18 and another the day after the Summit on April 22.
