What made you want to be the Title Partner of the Exit Planning Summit for the second year in a row?
REAG: Building on the success of last year, REAG is thrilled to deepen our partnership with Exit Planning Institute and renew support for The 2024 Exit Planning Summit in Marco Island. This event is a valuable opportunity for idea-sharing, community building, and fostering personal relationships. As advisors, we understand the significance of our Certified Exit Planning Advisors (CEPAs) community. Working together we gain a deeper understanding of how we can build value together.
This year's summit takes on added significance as advisors navigate strategic planning initiatives as interest rates begin to stabilize and business owners begin to see a new normal in post-Covid Era dealmaking – not to mention, this is an election year.
We look forward to carrying the torch again – the Summit's success and our commitment to the growth and development of the exit planning community remains top of mind for us.
What can our community of CEPAs and exit planning professionals look forward to at this year’s event?

You are kicking off the Summit on Sunday with a Learning Lab session. What can our attendees expect from this session?
REAG: Last year, we shared insights from real-life deals – specifically some war stories – in which things don’t always go as planned. As advisors, we know that there’s a lot at stake when it comes to striking the right balance in terms of price, terms, structure, and how one misstep could send the deal sideways.
This year, we are going to pull back the curtain to share just how an organization like REAG can play a pivotal role in driving significant business transformations through M&A, using case studies. For example: business owners want insight into how an entrepreneur is able to grow their business from $5 to $50 million. Our goal here will be to illustrate the game-changing impact of advisory services in mergers and acquisitions while illuminating the strategic value that REAG and CEPAs play in this process.

Member of the Year Award
The Member of the Year Award is presented to a CEPA who contributes significantly to the EPI community of advisors and the overall exit planning profession. They act as a critical leader and expert in their local or regional marketplace and lead exit planning education while driving market awareness.
Thought Leader of the Year Award
The Thought Leader of the Year Award is presented to a CEPA who has successfully trailblazed a first-of-its-kind project, initiative, or practice that has made a significant contribution to the exit planning profession and the overall community. This advisor is also a thought leader; someone who has taken a position and become a regarded expert/specialist in a specific niche area, who tasks, innovates, and influences, and above all, showcases characteristics of collaboration.
Peter Christman Exit Planner of the Year Award
Named after the co-founder of EPI, the Peter Christman Exit Planner of the Year Award is the highest honor offered in the exit planning industry. It is awarded to a CEPA who either practices exit planning, manages exit planning engagements, educates business owners and advisors, or provides industry-changing exit planning solutions or tools that can be directly tied to changing outcomes for business owners and leading advisors. This advisor makes significant contributions to the industry, and exemplifies the core values and characteristics of EPI and the CEPA credential while making a uniquely significant impact on the larger exit planning profession on a local, regional, national, and/or international scale.
